What we do

Riplington & Associates work with educators, parents, community members, and policymakers across Nigeria (and Africa) to build, find and use strategies and tools to address educational problems. This is achieved through providing research and white papers on policy issues addressing emerging issues of importance to policymakers, policy analysts, private service providers and other opinion leaders.

How we do it

We adopt a wide range of education research methods designed to meet the objectives of the project. These consist of mainly in-depth interview focus groups, street interviews, online surveys, desk research and social media. The results are presented in a way that is easy to interpret and use.

Organisational benefits

The final report combined with our commentary and strategic recommendations enables:

Policymakers and the public sector to re-examine processes to confirm their effectiveness and efficiency, whether they are the most cost-effective way of achieving the outcomes and importantly if the staff has taken ownership of the strategy by translating this into evidence-based achievement. Research also helps to address the cultural, motivational and resource issues which may prevent stakeholders and processes from achieving the outcomes. Lastly, by developing performance measures highlighting progress and outcomes within a culture of continuous improvement rather than a blame culture.

Private organisations to stay competitive, enhance their brand, attract the best employees, increase student intake, reduce costs and open new opportunities both home and abroad. Lastly, the research may also bring less tangible benefits – perhaps by revealing knowledge about the education sector market that doesn’t have an immediate commercial application but may be useful in the future.

You can definitely see your enthusiasm in the paintings you write. The sector hopes for more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to mention how they believe. At all times follow your heart. Shani Pepito Shirlie
